1. I selected two images of Rebekah and two images of my dog, Missy. I put them over images of nature, and one painting with light photo to make them double exposed. 2. The photos relate because I converted them all to black and white. 3. I made the photos opacity a smaller percent, and I changed the settings of the photo from normal to something different to see both pictures more clear. 4. I layered the images over each other, and changed the opacity. 5. They relate with nature, spirits, and they're all black and white. 6. I merged my subjects with nature, except for the last photo. The last photo seems like a ghost, so there is some tie with nature or the unknown. Merging my subjects with the other photos I chose does make is seem ghostly or spiritual.
Photo Essay
1. The subject of my photo essay is my dog in multiple places in my back yard and outside around my house. It's "The Outdoor Adventures of Missy." 2. I selected this place for natural light, and because it shows how much my dog loves the outdoors. most of the photos I just followed her around to see where she'd go, and documented with photos. 3. I tried to portray happiness and carefree feelings in this set of photos. It's showing how much animals enjoy the outdoors, so maybe we should try and see it from their eyes and enjoy it too rather than staying inside most of the time. 4. My images captured my story of adventure by using different scenery around the same area. Motion was also used with the same surrounding subject. 5. I ordered the photos to try and show where my dog is going. She starts in the flowers, then goes further out to the picnic table to take a rest, maybe for dinner or to beg for scraps? She then ventures off to the rocks near the water to look around. The sixth photo shows her further away from the water showing that she's going other places, and then I captured a motion picture to symbolize her running to a new set of scenery. She then ends up on my front porch ending the photo essay showing she has gone home to rest. These photos were actually taken before sunset, You can somewhat see how the lighting changes as you go though the set with more golden lighting towards the end and shadows, which is nice to show some time passing. 6. I visually unified my set of photos by using the same subject. My dog is the main focus of the set of photos.
Letter Forms
1. I created the word Shaker 2. For my letter forms I cropped the photos to make the letter more noticeable. I also changed the photos to black and white so they flow together and the letter pops more. 3. I believe the "R" had the most interesting composition. It's made out of the arch of a tree branch. It's the only lower case letter in my word which is what makes it harder to see. 4. My letter forms are all unified by being black and white.
